ICare HR - Update
There have been a few changes in recent months to the HR structure, and as most of you will know we moved office from our Cleveleys site to Dickson Road, with the location being very close to the Blackpool/ Cleveleys Care and the Finance office we feel it has been a great success. Mary Fisher was promoted to one of the Senior Management Team and is now in charge of the HR Department and Payroll Department. Jackie Clegg started with the Company in March as HR Manager and has been instrumental in recent months helping with the re-structure and development of new staff.

In September we will be re-introducing our HR Surgeries across the group, this will give us a chance to meet with teams and give you all an opportunity to raise any questions. After each session we will have a discussion with the managers in your area and feedback any operation queries. We will then ask your managers to take these forward with you.
Message from the Chairman
Once again I would like to thank all of the carers, community meals drivers and office staff for your hard work and commitment. I would also like to say Welcome to all the new staff at our new locations in Leicester, Halton, Glasgow and Birmingham. As all of you know, there are many challenges facing us moving forward due to the economy and the changes taking place within the health and social care sectors. ICare as a company is committed to overcome these challenges with your help and support.
The recent changes taking place due to Personalisation and how care is delivered in the community and within the Residential and Extra Care environment, is one of the main challenges. This needs a focused, innovative and flexible approach to our services To achieve this better and higher service levels, I need your support and input. Also our service users will want us to work towards this. I am sure with your involvement we will not only reach our goal but, as always, the ICare way we will better it as well.
Meals at NACC, Blackpool
NACC serves up new opportunities for Meals
September 16th saw ICare Community Meals take part in the National Association for Care Catering (NACC) Exhibition and Conference at the Hilton Hotel Blackpool. This annual exhibition, which was a great success, provided a great opportunity for ICare Meals to promote themselves to local authorities and private purchasers from the length and breadth of the UK. New Contracts and business expansion
ICare Meals have recently been awarded new contracts for the delivery of community meals in Leicestershire, Rutland and Halton. This is in addition to the company winning the contract for Birmingham meals delivery which was awarded on the 13th September this year. The opening of a new Care Office in Glasgow saw ICare extending their services into Scotland with Kathy Godfrey appointed as the Registered Care Manager. We would like to give a warm welcome to all the new team members at each new location.
Congratulations to our Chairman Stephen Emmanuel who celebrated his 50th Birthday, celebrated with a surprise party in July at Tolleys in Hambleton. Thank you to everyone who attended and those who helped with the organising. Special thanks to Natalie Gregory, whose attention to detail made sure nothing was overlooked and a big thanks to Mandy Smith, (Care Co-ordinator for Blackpool and Cleveleys) for making a lovely birthday cake.
A match made in ICare
Congratulations to Sheraz (Meals Area Manager North) and Leanne (Sales Ledger Finance Dept.) on their wedding this July. The ceremony was held at Lancaster Office, where Leannes parents where married and the reception at The Best Western Hotel, Blackpool, the couple now live St. Annes on Sea.
Naheem joins Senior Management Team
We would also like to welcome Naheem Hanif who joined the Senior Management Team in May 2010 as Financial Controller. Naheem has many years experience in both, Finance and Commercial sides of business. He has worked in Small, Medium and Large organisations and brings his expertise / support to an already committed forward thinking management team.
